Founded in 2014 by Ali El Arabi (CEO, Producer and Director), Ambient Light is an international film production based in Cairo focusing on socially motivated long and short-form documentaries, as well as investigative pieces in the Middle East.

It's main subject area is humanitarian issues that tell of larger phenomena taking place in the world. Ambient Light aims to tell character driven stories that relate to marginalized segments of society, groups that are often left voiceless such as women, children, minority communities and refugees.

It's first feature film is Captains of Zaatari, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2021. Now, it is pursuing the path of narrative films, such as The Legend of Zeinab and Noah, the next film by famed director Yousry Nasrallah.
